
The Mongolian flag is a vertical tri-band design with red on the outer sides and a blue center. The Soyombo design is anchored on the left red stripe. The current design was adopted in 1992, and the color standards were set in 2011.

- The two red strips on either side represent
- The gold Soyombo includes the yin-yang symbol at the center, and the moon, sun and triple flame at the top of the design. Buddhist leader and scholar Zanabazar designed the Soyombo emblem and the Soyombo script in 1686.
